DeepVoice Privacy Policy

Introduction

DeepVoice ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the DeepVoice mobile application (the "App").

Information We Collect

Information you provide: Voice assessment data, practice session records, user preferences, and notes that you add to practice sessions.

Information automatically collected: Real-time audio analysis for pitch detection, local usage statistics, device type, operating system version, and app version.

AI enhanced scan: If you choose to run it before subscribing or as a premium user later, a short recording and derived local metrics are sent to DeepVoice's Cloudflare Worker and OpenAI for analysis.

AI delivery observations: When enabled, OpenAI may return observations about articulation, emphasis, expressiveness, and delivery presence. Eligible high-confidence observations have a limited contribution to the displayed score. Pitch, loudness, pace, fillers, timing, and phrase endings remain measured on device, and on-device scoring continues whenever AI analysis is unavailable or insufficiently confident.

Speak realtime sessions: When you start Speak, including the onboarding coach demonstration, live audio is sent directly from your device to OpenAI for the active conversation. Derived delivery metrics may also be supplied during that session. DeepVoice does not persist the raw transcript.

Microphone access: The App requires microphone access to detect pitch in real time, provide instant feedback, and analyze voice characteristics for progress tracking.

Important: The initial voice scan and exercise analysis run on your device. For Speak, DeepVoice's Supabase Edge Function issues a short-lived credential and performs entitlement or allowance checks; it does not receive the live audio or transcript.

How We Use Information

Analyze your voice pitch during exercises.
Track your progress over time.
Generate personalized recommendations.

Provide relevant feedback and tips.

Data Storage and Security

Core app data is stored locally on your device using SwiftData for practice sessions, derived assessments, adaptive-plan progress, and history; UserDefaults for preferences and settings; and the local file system for optional audio recordings if you choose to save them. Cloud audio and transcripts are not stored in those assessments or plans.

If iCloud sync is enabled in a future version, data will be encrypted and stored in your personal iCloud account. We do not have access to your iCloud data.

DeepVoice uses iOS security features including app sandboxing. Optional Face ID or Touch ID access may be added in a future version.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your data, share data with advertisers, or use tracking pixels or analytics services.

Data may leave your device if you share achievements or progress, enable a future iCloud sync feature, run the AI enhanced scan, or start Speak. Speak sends live audio and derived delivery metrics to OpenAI for the active session. DeepVoice's Supabase Edge Function receives access and quota fields, but not the audio or transcript.

Your Rights and Choices

View data within the App.
Delete individual sessions or all data.
Grant or revoke microphone access in iOS Settings - DeepVoice - Microphone.
Control notifications in iOS Settings - DeepVoice - Notifications.
Export progress reports and practice history when export features are available.

Children's Privacy

DeepVoice is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

Third-Party Services

The App does not use analytics services, advertising networks, or social media integrations.

The App uses Apple's native frameworks, including AVFoundation for audio and SwiftData for storage, Apple StoreKit and RevenueCat for purchase and subscription processing, Cloudflare Workers for AI scan requests, Supabase Edge Functions for Speak credential and allowance checks, and OpenAI for optional AI analysis and active Speak realtime sessions.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. We will notify you of material changes through in-app notification or App Store update notes.

Data Retention

Practice sessions are kept until you delete them.
Voice snapshots are kept until you delete them.
Achievements are kept until you clear all data.
Onboarding Speak audio is deleted after scoring or cancellation. Normal Speak turn audio is held in temporary local files and deleted when results close unless you explicitly attach selected answers to a share action.
Speak transcripts are not persisted by DeepVoice.
Operational logs may contain aggregate latency, confidence, score delta, fallback reason, and schema-failure counts. They exclude audio, transcript, coach-feedback text, and raw user identifiers.

International, California, and European Users

DeepVoice is available worldwide. Core app data is stored locally on your device. Optional AI enhanced scans may be processed by Cloudflare and OpenAI, and Speak sessions by Supabase and OpenAI, outside your country.

California residents can know what personal information is collected and delete personal information. We do not sell personal information. European users can access, correct, delete, object to processing, and request portability for their data through the app's controls where applicable.
